Balpreet Singh, a Sikh law student, claims his religious rights were violated when he was ejected from a train in Toronto, Canada. Singh alleges that he was removed from the train because he was wearing a kirpan, or ceremonial daggar worn by Sikhs.

The case may be brought before the Ontario Human Rights Commission, and Navdeep Bains, a member of Parliament who is also a Sikh, "said he is looking into the incident."
