Man Who Beat Sikh on 9/11 Charged in Another Race Motivated Attack

The New York Daily News is reporting on its front page:

The Howard Beach hooligan charged with beating a black man with a bat was once arrested for another bias bat attack - allegedly assaulting a turban-wearing man just hours after the Sept. 11 attacks, law enforcement sources said yesterday.

Nicholas Minucci and other teens allegedly jumped a Sikh man in Queens and one of them clubbed him while the twin towers burned, the sources said.

During the beating, Minucci allegedly screamed, "F-----g Arab! Why don't you blow this up!" a source familiar with the incident said.

The stunning revelation that Minucci had been arrested in another racially charged case came as the white teenager was arraigned yesterday on hate-crime charges of assaulting Glenn Moore - and another suspect surrendered and was charged.

[Minucci is f]acing up to 25 years in prison if convicted of cracking Moore's skull....

The sources said he was arrested after he and accomplices allegedly beat the Sikh man with a bat and shot him with a paint-ball gun on Sept. 11, 2001.

UPDATE: The Washington Post is providing details on the incident in which Minucci assaulted Sikhs on 9/11: "Minucci... and another young man allegedly shot paintballs at worshippers as they left the Sikh Cultural Center in Queens, hours after terrorists destroyed the World Trade Center."
