The BBC is reporting that "A group of UK parliamentarians have set up a new group to help represent British Sikhs. " The group is to be called the All Party Parliamentary Group for UK Sikhs (APPG).
The chair of the APPG, Wolverhampton South West MP Rob Marris, said "The level of interest shown in the APPG from all parties is an excellent sign." According to the article, Morris said "he hoped women and young people would contribute. Mr Marris added that he hoped Gurdwaras [a Sikh temple in London is pictured] and other Sikh organisations would work with the APPG to ensure their views were properly presented to government."
