In response to the July 7, 2005, terrorist attacks in London, members of the Muslim-American and Arab-American communities have spoken out against such violence in an effort to condemn terrorism and distance themselves from an obviously warped brand of Islam. Some have argued that Muslims need to be more vocal in their condemnation of Islamic fundamentalism and acts of terrorism perpetrated by radical Muslims. The following should help indicate that Muslim-Americans and Arab-Americans are assuming this responsibility with open arms:
- Muslims condemn blasts, hate
- Muslims repudiate violent minority
- South Florida Muslim Leaders Denounce London Bombings
- US Muslims braced for backlash
- Muslim Groups Seek to Distance Islam from London Bombings
- Muslim council condemns 'evil deeds' in Britain
- Arab Media Condemn Attacks -- Warn No Place Immune From Terrorists
- Arab leaders denunciation of London's explosions
