A Nova Scotia human rights inquiry has dismissed a complaint of religious and ethnic discrimination filed by a Halifax man.
Ahmed Assal claimed he was discriminated against when his condo refused to let him install a satellite dish to receive Muslim and Arabic programming.
Board chair Roydon Trainor ruled the Assal family's faith wouldn't be impeded without access to the satellite service.
Assal filed his complaint with the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission in 2003.
He can appeal the decision to Nova Scotia Appeal Court.[Link]
