DNSI officially signed on to a letter drafted by the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund addressed to Paul Nelson, a congressional hopeful from Wisconsin, who made certain comments regarding the profiling of individuals with turbans or named Mohammad. In doing so, DNSI joined a number of respected civil rights organizations who oppose Mr. Nelson's offensive and racially insensitive remarks. The letter not only seeks to inform Mr. Nelson of the problematic nature of his comments, but also asks Mr. Nelson to offer an apologize to the affected communitites.
